The G.S.A. (GS Slay) at Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical High School interviews Steve Hemraj, an LGBTQ activist and healthcare worker who immigrated from Guyana in 2002 and was granted asylum in the United States in 2003. Students engage in a wide-ranging discussion about surviving homophobia, finding pride and self-love, and coming out.
